Overkill to. me

I've tied flies for over 50 years and this was my first (and last) attempt to use a whip finisher. I can tie a two finger whip finish knot as well as this finisher without the fuss of another tool. If your into gadgets, this is for you, For me, no thanks.

Something about the angle of this whip finisher when you use it is awesome. My old one seemed to small to use for Dolly Lamas unlike this one gives you lots of room, if that makes sense.

Whip finish

My hands don’t function the best for whip finishing with my fingers. This allows me good, consistent finishes on every fly. Customer service was impeccable as the tip had broken and they were prompt to replace it at no charge. Unconditional truly meant unconditional.

Perfect whip finisher

Ive used a couple of types of whip finishers but the Loon Ergo model is my favorite. The hook holds the thread well and is long enough to prevent thread from slipping off easily. The ergo handle is sized right, even for my small hands. I like the grip and feel of the rotation as Im tying off. I highly recommend this tool.
